  1. Walking in the Betty Queen Center Gym

    The Betty Queen Center is available for walking during January through April, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. These are the only times the gym is available for walking during these Winter and Spring months; however, these hours are subject to change.

  2. Billiards Club

    Are you aged 21 or older and love playing billiards, but have no place to play? Come join the Cue Ball Billiards Club at the Betty Queen Center. The Teen Center is open most weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost is just $10 for membership for January through April 2018. Play pool and spend time socializing with others who love the game. Hey ladies...this club is NOT just for men! Everyone is welcome. Why not give it a try?

  3. Sunday Billiards

    Billiards fans...you can now come to the Betty Queen Center on Sundays and play pool in the Teen Center from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. These Sunday Billiards cost $2 each time you attend and are open to the general public ages 21 and older, as well as current Club members.

  4. Cardio Pump 'n Core Workout

    Start your mornings with MargaretAnne and her Cardio Pump ‘n Core Workout. You don’t need to spend hours sweating on a treadmill and lifting weights at the gym to reap the benefits of exercise. MargaretAnne will layer cardio fat-burning moves, sculpting, core focused exercises, weights and resistance training to improve your muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. No two classes are the same. Everyone is welcome ~ first-timers wanting to start an exercise routine to the advanced fitness person wanting to add to their daily exercise routine. MargaretAnne will make sure you sweat away those calories with a great workout. Join her for an hour of fitness fun and don’t forget to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and towel. If you can’t commit to a full session, take as many classes as you’d like for the $8 drop in rate per class. There will be no class on January 12th, January 15th, and February 19th.

  5. Intermediate Dog Obedience

    This intermediate course is designed as a follow-up to the basic dog obedience class. Enhance your handling skills and your dog’s obedience skills through games, tricks, and fun competitions. Develop training methods to correct unwanted behaviors. The AKC Canine Good Citizen test will be offered after this course has been completed. All dogs must have up-to-date shot records. Sharon Jones, who has been training dogs for over 20 years, is the instructor.

  6. Rise & Shine Yoga

    Develop balance, strength, flexibility, and stamina as well as increase mental alertness and de-stress with this alignment-based Rise & Shine Yoga class. Let instructor MargaretAnne invigorate you with uplifting yoga flows and poses and calm you with breathing and relaxation techniques. All levels of participants are welcome~from the person who has never taken a yoga class before to those already familiar with yoga. Bring a yoga mat and water bottle and join us for this class that allows you to focus on nothing but YOU. Drop-in rate of $9 is available if you cannot attend a full session.

  7. After School Gymnastics

    April 25, 2018, 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM @ Trevilians Elementary School

    Gymnastics is the perfect activity to teach independence, focus and self-discipline; life skills that will assist with self-esteem, learning and physical development. Students in grades K through 5 can register for these gymnastics classes that are available to all ability levels. Learn cartwheels, handstands, forward rolls, and other floor exercises. These are fun classes for both girls and boys! Heather Nelson, owner of Performing Arts 2000, is the instructor. The registration deadline is the Friday prior to class start date or when 20 participants have registered per location. There is a minimum of 10 participants needed to offer these classes.

  8. Youth Aikido in Louisa

    Aikido is an excellent confidence booster for children, as it eliminates the need for them to compete or compare themselves to their peers. This program will help your child focus and improve their overall well-being; while also teaching discipline, respect, and empathy for others. as participants continue in the class, they will obtain belts based on the level they achieve. Open to children ages 6 through 12, Aikido is an on-going program which will continue throughout the year. Instructor Jeff martin has over 19 years of experience and received his Shidoin certificate in 2014. Discounts will be given to families with 3 or more members enrolled as well as those only able to attend once a week. February 21st, March 26th and March 28th will be inclement weather make-up dates if needed. Discounts: 3rd family member half price & $31 attending once a week.

As a result, we have a harder time following through on tasks and staying on track. Aikido affords one the stability to focus on mental and physical aspects of your life which will, in turn, improve your personal and professional commitments and achievements. Open to ages 13 and older, Aikido is an on-going program which continues throughout the year and focuses on discipline, teaching participants to respect and show empathy to others.
