  1. Walking in the Betty Queen Center Gym

    January 1, 2018, 6:45 AM - April 30, 2018, 8:00 AM @ Betty Queen Center

    The Betty Queen Center is available for walking during January through April, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. These are the only times the gym is available for walking during these Winter and Spring months; however, these hours are subject to change.

  2. Billiards Club

    Are you aged 21 or older and love playing billiards, but have no place to play? Come join the Cue Ball Billiards Club at the Betty Queen Center. The Teen Center is open most weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost is just $10 for membership for January through April 2018. Play pool and spend time socializing with others who love the game. Hey ladies...this club is NOT just for men! Everyone is welcome. Why not give it a try?

  3. Sunday Billiards

    Billiards fans...you can now come to the Betty Queen Center on Sundays and play pool in the Teen Center from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. These Sunday Billiards cost $2 each time you attend and are open to the general public ages 21 and older, as well as current Club members.

    Gloria Gilmore and Linda Austin are experienced in African-American genealogy, but the workshop is for anyone looking for family in Louisa County.   5. Cardio Pump 'n Core Workout

    Start your mornings with MargaretAnne and her Cardio Pump ‘n Core Workout. You don’t need to spend hours sweating on a treadmill and lifting weights at the gym to reap the benefits of exercise. MargaretAnne will layer cardio fat-burning moves, sculpting, core focused exercises, weights and resistance training to improve your muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. No two classes are the same. Everyone is welcome ~ first-timers wanting to start an exercise routine to the advanced fitness person wanting to add to their daily exercise routine. MargaretAnne will make sure you sweat away those calories with a great workout. Join her for an hour of fitness fun and don’t forget to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and towel. If you can’t commit to a full session, take as many classes as you’d like for the $8 drop in rate per class. There will be no class on January 12th, January 15th, and February 19th.

    Are you ready to take one simple step that is sure to enhance your quality of life? This class is for the new and returning student, the young, and the young at heart. It’s a great way to start your morning and a great place to laugh and enjoy as you move through different yoga postures. We will challenge you as well as encourage you in this class for those who want a yoga experience more than one day a week. Donya Bauer, MA, E-RYT 500, teaches you to honor your body and do only what you know your body is ready to do. As you move through this class, your balance, strength, and flexibility will improve and you will discover a beautiful sense of relaxation. Student input is always welcome and individual attention is paramount. Bring a yoga mat to class.

  7. Golden Age Club

    March 23, 2018, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM @ CJ's Steak and Ale Restaurant

    This dues-free club is open to all Louisa County seniors (age 55 or better). Newcomers are ALWAYS welcome! The club provides fellowship, entertainment, and fun. The meetings are informal and include programs that are of special interest to seniors. Refreshments are provided at our Betty Queen Center meetings. If you will be attending lunch, please call the Parks, Recreation and Tourism office at 540.967.4420 before 10:00 a.m. on the day of the event to reserve a place. We will meet for lunch at CJ’s Steak and Ale Restaurant, 5152 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania (on Route 208).
