The Betty Queen Center is available for walking during January through April, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. These are the only times the gym is available for walking during these Winter and Spring months; however, these hours are subject to change.

Are you aged 21 or older and love playing billiards, but have no place to play? Come join the Cue Ball Billiards Club at the Betty Queen Center. The Teen Center is open most weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost is just $10 for membership for January through April 2018. Play pool and spend time socializing with others who love the game. Hey ladies...this club is NOT just for men! Everyone is welcome. Why not give it a try?

Billiards fans...you can now come to the Betty Queen Center on Sundays and play pool in the Teen Center from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. These Sunday Billiards cost $2 each time you attend and are open to the general public ages 21 and older, as well as current Club members.

The warmth of the fire, smells of roasting tenderloin, the tastes you may remember from grandmother’s kitchen described by her as “an old family recipe”. Those are just the sensory rewards of joining the Louisa County Hearth Cooking Guild for an adventure in hearth cooking at the Heritage Farm. Class size is limited to 10 so everyone has plenty to do and plenty to eat! Registration is required. Age 18 and up. Wear long pants and good shoes and come anticipating a memorable day with friends, old and new.

Louisa County Parks and Recreation (LCPRT) is bringing RESTAURANT WEEK back in 2018!
The purpose of Restaurant Week is for local restaurants to partner with LCPRT to promote a week of their signature lunch and dinner specials at discounted/bundled prices. This is a great opportunity for both residents and visitors to check out the diverse selection of restaurants in Louisa County, and for local restaurants to showcase some of their best dishes!

Start your mornings with MargaretAnne and her Cardio Pump ‘n Core Workout. You don’t need to spend hours sweating on a treadmill and lifting weights at the gym to reap the benefits of exercise. MargaretAnne will layer cardio fat-burning moves, sculpting, core focused exercises, weights and resistance training to improve your muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. No two classes are the same. Everyone is welcome ~ first-timers wanting to start an exercise routine to the advanced fitness person wanting to add to their daily exercise routine. MargaretAnne will make sure you sweat away those calories with a great workout. Join her for an hour of fitness fun and don’t forget to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and towel. If you can’t commit to a full session, take as many classes as you’d like for the $8 drop in rate per class. There will be no class on January 12th, January 15th, and February 19th.

Are you ready to take one simple step that is sure to enhance your quality of life? This class is for the new and returning student, the young, and the young at heart. It’s a great way to start your morning and a great place to laugh and enjoy as you move through different yoga postures. We will challenge you as well as encourage you in this class for those who want a yoga experience more than one day a week. Donya Bauer, MA, E-RYT 500, teaches you to honor your body and do only what you know your body is ready to do. As you move through this class, your balance, strength, and flexibility will improve and you will discover a beautiful sense of relaxation. Student input is always welcome and individual attention is paramount. Bring a yoga mat to class.

Hey guys! Looking for something fun to do on a Friday night? Are you between the ages of 11 and 15? LCPRT Boys’ Night is just for you! We will have open gym for those who want to shoot some hoops, foosball and pool in the Teen Center, and even a NBA 2k Tournament (Xbox 360) on the big projector screen! The NBA 2k Tournament will begin at 7:30 p.m. so register as soon as you arrive if you want to be part of the tournament team. Boys only! NO GIRLS ALLOWED. So spread the word guys! Get all your friends together and come hang out with us at the Teen Center in the Betty Queen Center. Pre-registration is preferred (and is cheaper!), but not required.
