The Betty Queen Center is available for walking during January through April, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6:45 AM - 8:00 AM. These are the only times the gym is available for walking during these Winter and Spring months; however, these hours are subject to change.

Are you aged 21 or older and love playing billiards, but have no place to play? Come join the Cue Ball Billiards Club at the Betty Queen Center. The Teen Center is open most weekdays from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost is just $10 for membership for January through April 2018. Play pool and spend time socializing with others who love the game. Hey ladies...this club is NOT just for men! Everyone is welcome. Why not give it a try?

Billiards fans...you can now come to the Betty Queen Center on Sundays and play pool in the Teen Center from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. These Sunday Billiards cost $2 each time you attend and are open to the general public ages 21 and older, as well as current Club members.

The warmth of the fire, smells of roasting tenderloin, the tastes you may remember from grandmother’s kitchen described by her as “an old family recipe”. Those are just the sensory rewards of joining the Louisa County Hearth Cooking Guild for an adventure in hearth cooking at the Heritage Farm. Class size is limited to 10 so everyone has plenty to do and plenty to eat! Registration is required. Age 18 and up. Wear long pants and good shoes and come anticipating a memorable day with friends, old and new. Register at LCPRT.info.

In this NEW class series, we will focus each week on what young teens need most to feel strong and flexible. Open to all teens ages 12 through 17 years old, Yoga can help create a better sense of self, health, and well-being. It can offer balance to academic and extra-curricular demands and compliments sports training and other physical activities. Join instructor Jenifer Elder in this 4-week class as she leads teens to explore a variety of Yoga poses, Yoga styles, and breathing techniques to calm, energize, and relieve the stress of a teen’s busy young life. Previous Yoga experience is NOT required. Don’t forget to bring a Yoga mat, towel, and water bottle. Deadline to register is January 30th.

Louisa County Parks, Recreation & Tourism invites the dads of Louisa to spend the day with their daughters! Take her out to dinner or to the salon to get her nails done. This is your chance to do whatever you choose to make this an extra-special Saturday just for the Daughter Valentine Dance for fathers, stepdads and grandpas to treat their little sweethearts to an evening of fun, dress-up, and dancing. LCPRT will be offering a variety of fun day packages that can be purchased for you and your daughter to enjoy before coming to the dance that evening! So, be on the look-out for these fun day packages!
Girls must be between the ages of 5 and 13. Refreshments will be served. Registration is required by Monday, January 29th. Online registration will open the beginning of January, 2018. Sorry, NO MOMS allowed! Inclement weather date will be February 17th.
