Join us for this wonderful community holiday tradition that will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. Enjoy musical performances, decorate your own ornament, sing some carols, and watch as we flip the switch for the lighting of the big Christmas Tree on the lawn of the Louisa Courthouse. For a $10 donation, you may endow a light on this year’s tree in someone’s memory or honor. These names will be read at the tree lighting ceremony. Or you may become an ornament sponsor for a donation of $100 to $1,000. For more information, contact Tabethia Chiles, LCPRT’s Tourism and Special Events Recreation Supervisor at 967-4443.

Our special pancake breakfast with Santa has become a holiday favorite for Louisa’s young and young-at-heart! First, join Santa and his helpers as you fill your tummy with fluffy pancakes, bacon, cereal, and other yummy food. Then parents may take photos of their children enjoying their special moment with the jolly man as they share their Christmas wish list. All participants attending must purchase a breakfast ticket. This is a great family event filled with memories for children, parents, and grandparents alike! Please join us for our 13th Annual Breakfast with Santa.

The Louisa Christmas Festival & Parade are two Holiday traditions that you always look forward to attending! This year, we are going all out in celebration of Louisa County’s 275th Birthday! The festival, which is held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Courthouse Square is a great place to do some Christmas shopping, enjoy a cup of cocoa, and get into the Christmas spirit. Our vendors have all kinds of gift ideas; all types of Christmas wares, woodcrafts, jewelry, Tupperware, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, wreaths, and quilts are just some of the items that have been for sale in years past. Admission is free for all shoppers. At 2:00 p.m., LCPRT’s parade Celebrating 275 Years of Louisa History starts at Meadow Avenue and travels down Main Street. Whether you have a float, are part of a marching group, or have some fancy antique car, it’s free to enter the parade, but you MUST pre-register. You can download a registration form from our website or call our office and we can send you one.
