Public Service HEROES' Camp

Have you ever wanted to learn more about the various venues of public service? Perhaps you have dreams to one day become a public service hero. In partnership with the Louisa Community Animal Response Team, Louisa County Sheriff’s Department, and Louisa County EMS, participants will spend the week learning about numerous ways you can serve your community. Open to anyone ages 7 through 15, campers will be exposed to the various aspects of public service, including police work, fire fighting, emergency health and rescue, responsible pet ownership and care, and disaster relief services. Join this camp and you will have a greater understanding of the ways you can become a real life hero - even at your young age! Campers will meet at either Christopher Run Campground or the Betty Queen Center; LCPRT will provide van transportation if it is needed to go to other locations during the day. Please bring a lunch and snacks each day. Lunch on Friday will be provided. This is one week filled with information and fun for any child/teen who loves our service professions, but there are limited spaces available, so make sure you register early; the deadline to sign up is June 12th or when 20 participants have registered. You can be a HERO, too!
