Adult Woodcarving Class
Carving Wood Spirits

According to legend, wood spirits bring happiness, good luck, and peace within the home. The students will join instructor Kathryn Overcash as they carve their own special wood spirit from a piece of cottonwood bark. One piece of bark is included in the class fee. We will be using various carving tools such as u-gouges, v-tools, and detail knifes. If you have your own carving tools, bring them. If not, Kathy will provide the tools needed during the class. Some carving experience is recommended; the pace of this class is not ideal for beginners. Registration deadline is June 8th. You can check out Kathy's carvings on her website at www.ArtFromTheBark.com.
