Have you always wanted to learn more about the various venues of public service? Perhaps you have dreams to one day become a public service hero. Join this camp that will allow for interaction and education from a number of different public service heroes. Participating heroes include Louisa County Sheriff’s Department, Louisa Community Animal Response Team, Louisa County Fire & EMS, Little Fork’s Technical Large Animal Rescue Team, Dogs-East Search & Rescue, Virginia State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and wildlife expert Ed Crebbs. Campers will meet at the Betty Queen Center; LCPRT will provide van transportation if it is needed to go to other locations during the day. Please bring a lunch and snacks each day. Lunch on Friday will be provided. Open to participants ages 12-17, campers will learn lifelong lessons and be exposed to various aspects of the public service sector. The deadline to sign up is June 7th and all who register by that date will receive a FREE LCPRT 2018 Summer Camp T-Shirt. Late registrations will only be accepted if space is available but a $10 late fee will apply; camp T-shirt is not available for late registrations. You can be a HERO, too!
