This leadership training opportunity is designed for teens ages 14 and 15, who truly enjoy working with young children. The Counselor in Training (CIT) Program offers teens a chance to gain real work experience, service learning hours, and leadership skills at one of Louisa County Parks, Recreation & Tourism's summer camp locations. Working under the supervision of experienced counselors, CITs enjoy connecting with campers while modeling positive behavior. There is no fee for this program, but enrollment is limited. Applicants must commit to a minimum of two consecutive weeks in June or July, and if accepted, must attend pre-camp training and learn about policies, procedures, and expectations. Upon successful completion of the CIT program, participants will receive a certificate and letter of recommendation. Applications are available at the link below and at the LCPRT office. All applications must be turned back to the LCPRT office by April 6th. Don't miss your chance to become an LCPRT Counselor In Training!
